In Lake County we have two very prominent papers that are delivered every day of the week. Crown Point Star and Crown Point Shopping News The Star is a weekly subscription newspaper covering Crown Point and other south Lake County communities. The Star has been Crown Point’s hometown newspaper since 1877, covering local news, sports, and social events from its offices on the downtown square. Family owned for more than a century, it is now part of the Post-Tribune Co. and the Sun-Times News Group. The Shopping News is an advertising weekly delivered to all Crown Point homes. A family-owned newspaper for three decades, it joined the Star as a Post-Tribune Co. publication in 1999.
